Best Google Adsense Alternatives (2016)

Best Google Adsense Alternatives (2016)
“Your Google Adsense account has been disabled or temporarily banned”.

What a nice phrase on an email to start the day huh? Well, consider you’re not alone. Everyday, hundreds or thousands of accounts are being banned from Google’s Adsense program. Why? I can’t tell you specifically. Either there’s something wrong with the web you’re putting you ads on, or you just simply missed one rule from Google’s TOS.

Instead of crying or bashing Google in multiple forums (actually, this is a very bad idea), remember the world is not over yet, and there are plenty of alternatives out there to try. Google was just your first one, and you failed.

So, stand up, be proactive and act professional! There’s no time to lose.

10 best Google Adsense Alternatives
Here are some of the best Google Adsense Alternatives you can try to monetize your website without using Google Adsense, and I’ll tell you how they work and why you should consider them, so let’s start:

Descending order as per popularity

10. Amazon Associates
Google Adsense Alternatives Amazon
You can make a good amount of money from Amazon, especially in Christmas and other holidays
Amazon is the biggest online store in the world, so they must be doing something good. Well, if you have a website that talks about any product t5hat can be found on Amazon, then Amazon associates could work for you. Amazon allows you to put dynamic image ads to your blog, so that you can promote them and while this isn’t a Pay-per-click or CPM program, it will pay you a small commission for everything they sell from your links. So let’s say you have a blog about Apple products and you put an ad driving them to buy an iPod or just a cable. If they buy it, an small commission will be for you. So if you sell a $10 cable you might receive a few cents, but sell a $1500 Laptop and you might receive $100. The good thing is that everything they buy through your link (even if it isn’t the product you recommended at first) will generate a commission for your. the only con I find with Amazon, is that they need to send you a check that could take weeks to arrive to your home, unless you live in the United Stated of America where you can provide your Bank account. You can use this with Adsense at the same time.

9. Yllix Media
Yllix is a network I have heard a lot in the last years that has a decent CPM and many monetization options. Their homepage might look simple but their dashboard is great and it’s easy to get started. Yllix has Pop under ads, mobile redirects, sliders, layer ads and full page ads so you can get a good CTR and make money with them. Definitely a good option for starters and their approval is fast. Sign up here.

8. Revenue Hits
Revenue Hits is a very strong network with several years in the industry. I’ve been working with them for 2 years and so far the results have been great. Revenue Hits is a Performance Ad network, which means they pay you for results (CPA, which is great for many niches). Revenue Hits has an advanced platform that learns from your Ads so if you give them a try make sure to keep their ads running for at least 3-4 days to get the best results. Another great thing is that they have different monetization channels available. You can create banner ads, sliders, pop -unders, buttons and more. Revenue Hits pays on a NET 30 basis and they issue payments via wire, Paypal and Payoneer! Create your account and get started in just a few minutes HERE!

Bonus: Read my full RevenueHits Review where I show you how I earn more than $1,000 per month.

7. Adversal
Adversal is a great alternative of Adsense. They have good banners and the CTR and revenue adapts to get the best results for your website. I’ve seen the Ads on Adversal have a good CTR and they have good image ads too. This is probably the Ad network which seems to work better for those looking for a replacement of Google Adsense. It works decently with other languages too. You account gets approved really fast and they also have Pop under /CPM ads as an option. Note: Adversal requires a website with a minimum of 50,000 page views per month, but they have proven to work really well. I earn over $500-1000 per month. They also pay via paypal. Sign up here. Bonus: Check my Adversal earnings here.

6. Chitika
The reason I put Chitika on the number 3 of this list, is because Chitika is very similar to Adsense. they allow you to customize your ads, and it only serves contextual ads. One good thing is that you can use it along with Adsense and there are no problems at all. Chitika pays via Paypal ($10 USD minimum, which is good for starters) or via check ($50 minimum). If I were to recommend an ads service as an alternative to Adsense, Chitika would be my first choice, hands down. Chitika can pay you via paypal if you need. Sign up here and get your account approved fast and easily! Bonus: Check my Chitika earnings here.

5. PopCash
Popcash is another very good network that has been out for a long time and usually gives me similar results as PopAds (see number 4). PopCash has PopUnder ads with a great CPM and good inventory for all countries both for mobile and desktop traffic. You can request your payments inside the dashboard and they pay via Paypal, Payza and Paxum. Money transfers usually take 24-48 hours which isn’t bad at all. Sign up here and get started with Popcash.

4. Infolinks
Infolinks is one of the largest monetization networks in the world today, helping more than 200,000 online publishers in 128 countries earn money from their unused ad space. Their approvals are easy and setting your ads takes just a few minutes. Sign up as a publisher here.

1. PropellerAds Media
Propeller Ads is one of the biggest pop-under networks available. They started working on 2011 and quickly developed into one of the biggest networks with great CPMs. They specialize in monetizing websites for the following niches: entertainment, videos/movies, games, dating, finances, software, gambling and more. If you’ve got one of this sites, you could make more money with Propeller than with Adsense. They also have banners but the pop unders work better overall. Also, if you’ve got mobile traffic, they’re a great Adsense alternative as they work closely with ad networks that monetize apps and mobile services leading to huge ROIs and great CPMs too.

How to Get Rid of Viruses, Spyware and Malware

How to Get Rid of Viruses, Spyware and Malware

Viruses, spyware, malware, etc., all have one thing in common: they all suck. They slow down your computer, corrupt your files, illegally steal your info, and more.

You have probably seen those ads online advertising a service that will scan your computer for free and magically clean your computer as well as make it 20 times faster. Well, those websites will scan your computer, which is true, however, the majority of them will charge a large fee to get rid of all of the errors found in the scan. In addition, a lot of them are fake and will actually install more malware and spyware onto your computer.

Basically, though, the services use a simple antivirus scanner/remover. There is far better software out there that is available to you for free. By following the tips in this article, you should be able to remove most types of virus, spyware, or malware from your computer.

Obviously, not all malware is created equal and some items are far harder to remove than others. In those types of instances, you best option is to perform a clean install, which is the only sure-fire way to ensure that all remnants of the infection are gone.
Method 1 – Scanning
There are thousands of different programs out there in the spyware/virus removal category, many of which are free. The thing to remember is that different virus removal programs will bring different results and none of them are 100% completely accurate.

For example, you can scan your computer with one virus removal program, remove the viruses and then turn around a scan your computer with a different program, which will catch even more viruses that the first program didn’t pick up.

So the best thing to do when you have a nasty infection with multiple viruses, malware or spyware on your system is to run multiple programs. However, a lot of these newer viruses are smart and prevent you from running anti-virus or anti-malware tools inside Windows.

In order to get around this, you have to either scan the system before the operating system boots up or you have to get Windows into Safe Mode and start the scanning process there.

Steps to Restart Microsoft Windows Operating System in Safe Mode

Once you are in Safe Mode, you need to run several scanning programs one after the other until no more instances of infection are found. So which programs should you choose to run? Luckily, I’ve already written an article on the best free anti-spyware, anti-malware and anti-virus programs currently out there.

In my opinion, you should run SUPERAnti-Spyware first, then MalwareBytes Anti-Malware followed by Spybot and Ad-Adware. Of course, you’ll need an Internet connection for this, so make sure that you enable Safe Mode with Networking.
One of the best tools for repairing malware infections is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. The free version includes anti-malware, anti-spyware and anti-rootkit protection. The big downside to the free version is that it does not include real-time protection or automated scans, so malware would not be blocked from installing itself onto your system and would only be removed once you ran a manual scan.
Spybot has been around for a very long time and has a very good track record of finding and removing spyware and malware. It’s trustworthy and regularly updated.

When installing Spybot, you’ll be asked whether you want to be protected automatically or whether you want more control and feedback from the program, so pick the option that suits you best.

Ad-Aware has also been around for a very long time and is one of the best antivirus programs out there. When installing the program, make sure to uncheck the two boxes for SecureSearch as that is not really worth it. Google does just fine protecting your searches.

SUPERAntiSpyware is another spyware/malware removal program that has a long history. A lot of these older programs have gotten better and better over the years and that’s why you keep hearing the same names over and over again.

AdwCleaner is probably the only program you may not have already heard about. Basically, this program focuses on toolbars, browser hijackers, adware, etc.

The program is very simple to use and there aren’t any options to configure. Just click Scan, then go through the tabs to make sure everything checked is unwanted and then click Clean.

Steps to Restart Microsoft Windows Operating System in Safe Mode

Steps to Restart Microsoft Windows Operating System in Safe Mode

Need to get into Safe Mode on your Windows PC? If you’re not able to boot your computer normally, you can try to enter safe mode, a diagnostic mode for Windows that lets you troubleshoot problems that prevent normal booting.

In Safe Mode, Windows only loads the most essential services and drivers in order for it to run. All other normal Windows settings and start up programs are disabled in order to allow the user to fix the problem with their computer.

In this guide, I am going to go through the steps to get into Safe Mode in Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8.1 and Windows 10.

Note that if you installed a driver or just recently made a configuration change to your computer, you may want to try the “Last Known Good Configuration” before going into safe mode in Windows 7, Vista and XP.

Last Known Good Configuration loads the last working version of Windows. However, it is replaced each time you log into the computer, so if a problem has occurred, make sure to try this option BEFORE logging onto the computer again.

In Windows 8 and Windows 10, the Last Known option is no longer included. Instead, they have other options like Refresh, Reset (Reinstall), Restore, etc. I’ll go into more details below in the Windows 8/10 section.

Also note that there are three types of Safe Mode, so read the descriptions below to figure out which one is best for you.

Safe Mode – The basic option that loads Windows with a GUI interface and is usually what most people should choose when troubleshooting their computer.

Safe Mode with Networking – If you need access to the Internet or the network while in Safe mode, then this is the option to choose. This mode is useful when you need to fix a problem that requires an Internet connection so that you can download updates, drivers, or other files to help fix your problem.

Safe Mode with Command Prompt – This mode will load with just the MS DOS command line prompt. This is useful if you need to run a DOS command like fixboot or chkdsk.

Safe Mode in Windows XP/Vista/7
To get into the Safe Mode in Windows XP, Vista or 7, re-boot the computer and then press and hold the “F8 Key” which will then bring up the “Windows Advanced Options Menu“. Scroll down to “Safe Mode” using the arrow keys and press Enter.

Note that sometimes if you press and hold the F8 key, some computers will start to beep annoyingly, so in that case, simply hold the F8 key continuously during the boot up period.

If you are still not able to get into Safe Mode, you can try to kill the power on the computer to turn it off and then turn it back on. If Windows shuts down unexpectedly, it will usually bring up the Advanced Boot Options menu automatically.

If that doesn’t work, you can read my previous post on getting into Safe Mode if F8 is not working. This method, however, requires you to be able to log into Windows in order to tell it to boot into safe mode on the next restart.

Safe Mode in Windows 8/10
In Windows 8 and Windows 10, the process of getting into safe mode is completely different. The F8 key no longer works because the boot process is too fast.

The only way to get into safe mode is to boot into System Recovery Options, which is where you can perform various troubleshooting tasks including starting in safe mode.

I’ve already written about how to boot to the Windows 8 System Recovery Options screen, but the process is slightly different for Windows 10, so I’ll mention it here. In Windows 10, there are two ways to get to the recovery options screen. Firstly, you can click on the new Start button, which is back again in a different form, and then hold down the SHIFT key and click on the power button.

windows 10 safe mode

While still holding down the SHIFT key, click on Restart. The other way is the same as Windows 8, but it just looks a bit different. Click on the Start button and then click on Settings as shown above.

This will bring up a new Settings dialog that basically replaces the PC Settings dialog in Windows 8. Here you will click on Update & recovery.

Now you’ll see the options to refresh your PC, reinstall everything or restart in advanced startup mode.

At this point, the process to get into Safe Mode in Windows 8 or Windows 10 is the same. You’ll now see three options: Continue, Troubleshoot and Turn off your PC.

Now just follow the instructions on my article on booting to safe mode in Windows 8. You basically click on Troubleshoot and go from there. Windows 8 and Windows 10 are also a lot smarter than previous versions and will normally bring up the recovery options automatically if a problem is detected while booting.

If you have any questions about getting into safe mode on any version of Windows, feel free to post a comment. Enjoy!

Boot Windows O/S in Safe Mode – F8 Not Working?

Boot Windows O/S in  Safe Mode – F8 Not Working?
If you’ve been using Windows for a while, chances are you’ve had to boot into Safe Mode at one time or another. If not, chances are you’ve seen the option to boot into Safe mode after your computer recovered from the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD).

Booting into Windows Safe Mode often requires holding down or repeatedly pressing the F8 key during the POST, the process your computer goes through before it boots into Windows. Sometimes, however, pressing the F8 key in any way or at any time just won’t work.

Luckily, Windows 7 offers you the opportunity to enter Safe Mode the next time you restart your computer. In addition, there are various options available using this method that are not available using the F8 method. Read on to learn how to force Windows 7 into Safe Mode the next time your computer restarts.

Start Windows 7 Safe Mode without F8
To restart you computer into Windows 7 Safe Mode, begin by clicking on Start and then Run. If your Windows 7 Start menu doesn’t have the Run option showing, hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and press the R key. Whichever method you use, you should now be looking at the Run dialog box. Type msconfig into the run box and click OK.

Type msconfig into the Run Box

You should now be looking at the System Configuration window. Click on the Boot tab to see all of the boot options Windows 7 has to offer.
Boot Tab on System Configuration

Locate the section titled Boot Option on the System Configuration window. Here you can check the option titled Safe Mode. Notice that Minimal Safe Mode is the default Safe Mode option.

Choose Safe Mode Under Boot Options

The Minimal Safe Mode option is the default because it is the same kind of Safe Mode you get using the F8 method. Once you have chosen your options, click the OK button. Windows 7 will then ask if you want to Restart Now or Exit Without Restarting. Click the Restart Now button and your computer will restart in Safe Mode.

Restart Your Computer in Safe Mode

More Safe Mode Options
You may have noticed that there are several other options besides minimal. These options are the subject of the next two articles in this series on booting Windows into Safe Mode when the F8 method just won’t work.

As it turns out, using the method described above to start up Windows 7 in Safe Mode has several advantages over the F8 method. The options available on the System Configuration window are powerful troubleshooting and diagnostic tools for discovering what is wrong with your computer.

You may find that this method of entering Safe Mode is preferred even when the F8 method works on your computer.

How to find Subtract Dates (Date difference) in Excel

How to find Subtract Dates (Date difference) in Excel
If you have an Excel sheet with a lot of dates, chances are you will eventually need to calculate the differences between some of those dates. Maybe you want to see how many months it took you to pay off your debt or how many days it took you to lose a certain amount of weight?

Calculating the difference between dates in Excel is easy, but can become complicated depending on how you want to calculate certain values. For example, if you wanted to know the number of months between 2/5/2016 and 1/15/2016, should the answer be 0 or 1? Some people might say 0 since it’s not a full month between the dates and others might say 1 because it’s a different month.

In this article, I’ll show you how to calculate the differences between two dates to find the number of days, months and years with different formulas, depending on your preferences.

Days Between Two Dates
The simplest calculation we can do is to get the number of days between two dates. The good thing about calculating days is that there really is only one way to calculate the value, so you don’t have to worry about different formulas giving you different answers.

In my example above, I have two dates stored in cells A2 and A3. At the right, you can see the difference between those two dates is 802 days. In Excel, there are always multiple ways to calculate the same value and that’s what I did here. Let’s take a look at the formulas:

The first formula is just a simple subtraction of the two dates, A3 – A2. Excel knows it’s a date and simply calculates the number of days between those two dates. Easy and very straight-forward. In addition, you can also use the DAYS function.

=DAYS(A3, A2)
This function takes two arguments: the end date and the start date. If you switch the dates in the formula, you’ll just get a negative number. Lastly, you can use a function called DATEDIF, which is included in Excel from Lotus 1-2-3 days, but isn’t an officially supported formula in Excel.

=DATEDIF(A2, A3, “D”)
When you type the formula, you’ll see that Excel does not give you any suggestions for the fields, etc. Luckily, you can see the syntax and all supported arguments for the DATEDIF function here.

As an added bonus, what if you wanted to calculate the number of weekdays between two dates? That’s easy enough also because we have a built-in formula:

Calculating the number of days and weekdays is simple enough, so let’s talk about months now.

Months Between Two Dates

The trickiest calculation is the number of months because of how you can either round up or round down depending on whether it’s a complete month or a partial month. Now there is a MONTHS function in Excel, but it’s very limited because it will only look at the month when calculating the difference and not the year. This means it’s only useful for calculating the difference between two months in the same year.

Since that is kind of pointless, let’s look at some formulas that will get us the correct answer. Microsoft has provided these here, but if you are too lazy to visit the link, I have provided them below also.

Round Up – =(YEAR(LDate)-YEAR(EDate))*12+MONTH(LDate)-MONTH(EDate)
Round Down – =IF(DAY(LDate)>=DAY(EDate),0,-1)+(YEAR(LDate)-YEAR(EDate))
Now these are two fairly long and complicated formulas and you really don’t need to understand what’s going on. Here are the formulas in Excel:

Note the you should edit the round down formula in the actual cell itself because for some odd reason the entire formula does not show up in the formula bar. In order to see the formula in the cell itself, click on the Formulas tab and then click Show Formulas.

So what’s the final result of the two formulas on our current example? Let’s see below:

Round up gives me 27 months and round down gives me 26 months, which is accurate, depending on how you want to look at it. Lastly, you can also use the DATEDIF function, but it only calculates full months, so in our case the answer it returns is 26.

=DATEDIF(A2, A3, “M”)
Years Between Two Dates
As with months, years can also be calculated depending on whether you want to count 1 year as a full 365 days or if a change in the year counts. So let’s take our example where I have used two different formulas for calculating the number of years:

One formula uses DATEDIF and the other uses the YEAR function. Since the difference in the number of days is only 802, DATEDIF shows 2 years whereas the YEAR function shows 3 years.

Again, this is a matter of preference and depends on what exactly you are trying to calculate. It’s a good idea to know both methods so that you can attack different problems with different formulas.

As long as you are careful with which formulas you use, it’s fairly easy to calculate exactly what you are looking for. There are also a lot more date functions outside of the ones I mentioned, so feel free to check those out also on the Office Support site. If you have any questions, feel free to comment. Enjoy!

How to Make Audio Files Louder

How to Make Audio Files Louder

Low volume audio files can be close to useless and also very frustrating, especially if you can’t rerecord the original audio. Whether it be an MP3 song that you are trying to listen to on your laptop or a recorded audio file that isn’t quite loud enough, increasing the volume on nearly any audio file can easily be done using desktop or online audio editing software.

In this article, I’m going to talk about a couple of methods you can utilise to fix the sound levels for an audio file. If you’re only needing to do this for a single audio file, the best choice would be an online tool. If you need more control and options or have to adjust the volume on many files, the desktop audio editing program will probably be a better choice.
Online Tools
Luckily, there are some sites on the Internet created solely for the purpose of increasing the volume of your audio file. Here are the ones I have used and that work well.
MP3 Louder

MP3 Louder makes it really easy to increase the volume of your audio file. Click Browse to select the file you want to adjust and then choose the Increase volume radio button. You can also use this site to decrease the volume of an audio file.

By default, the audio will be increased by three decibels, which is recommended. Obviously, you can play around with this setting, which goes all the way up to 50 decibels. In addition, you can select whether to increase every channel or just the left or right channel.

Click the Upload Now button and wait a few minutes while the file is uploaded and optimized. After it is complete, you should see a green download button.

That’s about it! It’s really easy to use and completely free as of now. I’m sure there is some restriction on the size of the audio file, but it should work just fine in 99% of the cases.

Grab Tube
Another free online tool is Grab Tube. Just select your file and then choose from either automatic normalization or manual. If you choose manual, you basically have three options, which are presented as the word loud in bigger and bigger text.

The maximum size for the MP3 file is 40MB, so that should easily be large enough for most people. If you do have a larger MP3 file, you can always cut the MP3 file first into smaller pieces and then use this tool.

You can download the audio file directly by clicking on the link or you can listen to the new audio file online. This is convenient in case the first adjustment wasn’t loud enough and you have to try a higher setting.

Desktop Tools
On the desktop, my favourite tool for editing any kind of audio is’s really easy to increase the volume of your audio file also.

Another advantage to using a tool like Audacity is that you can increase the volume of just a part of the track, rather than the whole thing. The online tools will amplify everything, which might result in certain parts being too loud and therefore being clipped.

Open Audacity and load up audio file into the program. If you want to amplify the whole track, do not select anything. If you need to amplify just a part of the track, go ahead and select that portion by clicking and dragging your mouse over the blue area.

Now click on Effect at the top and then click on Amplify in the list of effects.

Here you can adjust the slider to choose the amount of amplification in decibels. Note that if the sound will be clipped because it’s too loud, the OK button will become greyed out unless you check the Allow clipping box. If you want to amplify the audio file in Audacity without any audio clipping, you need to either select only the portion that is low or you need to use an audio compressor first.

An audio compressor will reduce the difference between the lowest and highest (loudest) points on a track. Audacity, of course

How to Create Input control Fillable Forms in Word

How to Create Input control fallable Forms in Word
Did you know that you can create forms in Word that people can fill out? When you hear about fillable forms, it is almost always related to Adobe and PDF documents because that’s the most popular format.

However, Word is also quite a powerful tool and you can use it to quickly create forms that you can either print or send via email, etc. If you need to create a survey that will go out to many people and you want all the responses tallied for your automatically

In this article, I’ll show you how to create a form with text boxes, check boxes, a date picker and a list box. You can also make your forms a lot better looking if you use tables to organize everything.
Enable Developer Tab
By default, you can’t create forms in Word unless you enable the Developer tab in the ribbon. Since it’s not used by a lot of people, Microsoft disabled it by default. To enable the tab, click on File and then Options.

On the left-hand side, click on Customize Ribbon and then check the Developer box in the right-hand list box.

Click OK and click on the tab in the ribbon. The section we are most interested in is Controls.

Creating a Form in Word
The Controls section has about eight different controls that can be added to your Word document: Rich Text, Plain-Text, Picture, Building Block Gallery, Checkbox, Combo Box, Drop-Down List, and Date Picker.

To insert a control, just click on it and it will appear wherever your cursor was located. In my example below, I created a table and added two plain-text boxes for first name and last name.

By default, each control has its own filler text. For a plain text control, it is Click or tap here to enter text. You can edit this text for any control by clicking on the Design Mode button that is to the right of the control icons.

You’ll see some blue placeholders appear on the left and right of any controls you have added to your document. Select the text and change it to whatever you like. Click on the Design Mode button again to exit the mode.

Next, click on your newly added control so that it is highlighted and then click on Properties, which is directly below the Design Mode button. Each control will have a standard set of options with custom options at the bottom based on what type of control it is.

Here you can give the control a title, change the color, style the text and specify whether or not the control can be edited or deleted. At the very bottom are the control specific options, which for the case of a plain text control, is whether you want to allow multiple lines or not. That last option is useful if you need someone to type in a paragraph of text.

So what’s the difference between a plain-text control and a rich text control? Well, not much. In a rich text control, you can change the font/color settings for each word individually, whereas the plain-text control will apply the formatting to all the text. You would think the plain-text control would not allow bold, font changes or color changes, but it does.

Next, I went ahead and added a drop down list control to my form. You’ll see it says Choose an item and that’s it. In order to add items to the list, you have to click on Properties.

Click the Add button and then type in a name for your choice. By default, the Display Name and Value will be the same, but you can change it if you like. There really is no reason to change the value unless you are writing Word macros and refer to the controls in code.

Once you have added all your choices, go ahead and click OK and you’ll now be able to select the options from the drop-down list.

The only difference between the dropdown list control and the combo box control is that the latter allows the user to enter their own value if they please. In the dropdown list, you have to choose from one of choices in the list. In the combo box, you can either choose from the list or type in your own value.

The date picker control works just like any date picker you have probably used on airline booking sites, etc. When you click on it, a calendar appears and you can simply click on the date to select it.

If you click on the Properties button, you’ll see that there are quite a few options for the date picker control.

You can choose a different format to display the date and choose a different calendar type. The picture control is another nice option that will allow users to insert a picture easily.

When the user clicks on the image, a dialog will appear where they can choose a picture from their computer, from Bing image search or from OneDrive. They also have options for Facebook and Flickr.

Now let’s add a few checkboxes to our document. Note that when you add a checkbox and try to type text into it, it will tell you that the selection is locked. I believe this is by design. You have to click next to the checkbox and then type in your text.

Once you have all the controls in your document the way you want, it might be a good idea to protect the document so that user can only fill out the form fields and that’s it. To do this, click on Restrict Editing on the Developer tab.

In the pane that shows up on the right, click on the dropdown under Editing restrictions and choose Filling in forms. Make sure to check the Allow only this type of editing in the document box.

Windows Key + D – Missing the desktop? This hotkey will hide all windows and show you the clean desktop. If you press it again, it will bring back the same windows that were active earlier.
Windows Key + L – This hotkey will lock the screen in Windows 10. You could also press CTRL + ALT + DEL and then press Enter to lock the screen, but this is also a good option.

Windows Key + E – Opens Windows Explorer. I’m pretty much always messing with files, so this is a very useful shortcut.

Windows Key + R – Brings up the Run dialog box, which lets you quickly run commands. Also, it’s easy to open the command prompt by using this shortcut by simply typing in CMD.
Windows Key + Tab – This will show you a thumbnail of all open programs on the current desktop and also a small thumbnail of each desktop at the bottom. You can use the arrow keys to select a different program on the active desktop.
Ctrl + Shift + Esc – This will bring up the new Windows 10 Task Manager. The shortcut is the same as it was in previous versions of Windows.

Ctrl + Alt + UP/DOWN/LEFT/ROGHT Arrow key – To rotate your screen if any time it went wrong like upside down.
